Warren Stone, President of Zone One Consulting, LLC, is a Lead Instructor for FSPCA’s Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCHF), and Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) courses.  Successful completion of the FSPCA’s PCHF course is one way to become a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) as required by the PCHF rule for facilities that manufacture, process, pack, and hold human food for sale in the United States. Warren has been teaching Lead Instructor and Participant PCQI courses since 2015 and FSVP courses since 2017.

Warren previously spent over 12 years as Senior Director of Science Policy at the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA, today the Consumer Brands Association). In this capacity he led GMA efforts to provide FDA with detailed comments on numerous elements of the Food Safety Modernization Act.  Additionally, he served as staff liaison for the Microbiological Safety
and Food Defense Committees, and collaborated with member company’s scientific and technical staff, regulatory agents, and universities. Warren is a past member of the FSPCA Steering Committee and the Food Protection and Defense Institute’s Science Advisory Board.

Warren’s background comprises over 45 years of industry experience including a variety of positions in manufacturing and quality assurance during 30 years of in-factory work. He holds both Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degrees.
